About the Studio
Jennie's 18x14 studio is a fully equipped quilting space complete with cutting and pressing tools, three sewing machines for piecing, tying stretchers for any size quilt, and everything you need for creating your own heirloom or public project. School and corporate projects are welcome. Quilters and want-to-be quilters of all ages are welcome.
About Jennie
When you reserve the space for your personal or group project, you get Jennie's expertise from over 30 years of making quilts for babies, kids, weddings, public projects, and special events. She's pictured on the left working on a challenge project at the headquarters of Fedex Latin America in Miami. This pocket quilt won second prize in a company-wide competition to use their promotional bags for a charitable purpose. It now hangs in a preschool where the pockets are all filled with donated reading books for the children.

Studio Specialties
Jennie honors the history of our quilting heritage by encouraging simple designs, recycled materials, and the special bond that quilters develop when they work together. She loves to incorporate personally significant materials, and generally selects projects that have more than just artistic value. She frequently supports projects that serve the community, schools, and families. She's a member of Ocean Waves Quilting Guild of Miami which recently contributed quilts to the survivors of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey. Lucky children who have one of her recycled denim quilts use them from early childhood to college and beyond.
Studio Reservations
Reservations can be made on the "contact us" link, or by phone (315 412 9643). Times are available between 8 am and 10 pm daily. Groups for quilting bees using stretchers can be up to 8 people. Without stretchers, the studio can accommodate a few more. A small hourly fee covers the use of the studio, consulting with Jennie, and use of all the studio's equipment, trims, tying yarn, and small fabrics pieces less than a fat quarter (22x44 inches). Larger fabric for quilt backs, edges, or borders can be purchased from Jennie's stash. Quilters can bring their own fabric as well, of course. Note: the studio specialty is for tied quilts, so it is not equipped for long arm machine quilting. However, referrals to local long arm specialists are available.
